First time I've tried making clam chowder using Ore-Ida Frozen Diced Hash Brown Potatoes, will never peel another potato again, turned out really delicious!


Easy Clam Chowder (Ore-Ida Frozen Diced Hash Brown Potatoes)

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups Ore-Ida Frozen Diced Hash Brown Potatoes
5 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup onion chopped
2 carrots diced
3 stalks celery diced
2 tbspoons flour
2 cans clams and reserve the liquid
1 cup cream
2 cups milk
Pepper

Directions

In a large saucepan over medium high heat, cook bacon until lightly crisp. Remove from saucepan.
In the same saucepan over medium high heat, cook Hash Browns, Onions, Celery and Carrots until tender, stirring occasionally. Add the flour, coating vegetables, then add reserved clam liquid, bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in milk, cream, clams, bacon and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through but not boiling.
