I'm surprised too at the lack of news.
Especially since it all sounded hinky from day one. You'd think the media would be all over it.
    Where is this little guy?!

Reward for info on missing South Pasadena boy doubled to $20,000

    05/16/17, 2:15 PM PDT | Updated: 9 hrs ago

LOS ANGELES >> The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors doubled a reward to $20,000 Tuesday in hopes of generating tips that help authorities locate a 5-year-old South Pasadena boy who has been missing since April 22.

Supervisor Kathryn Barger recommended the increase at the request of detectives working the case and urged the public to come forward with any "information (about) any person who may be concealing the child or who may have information about the child’s disappearance or whereabouts."

The search for Aramazd Andressian Jr. has spanned several Southern California counties, including Santa Barbara, where authorities searched in the Lake Cachuma Recreation Area where the boy may have been with his father on April 21.

Praying this reward increase helps find this child, so afraid for this child.

California Mother Pleads for 5-Year-Old Boy's Safe Return

The mother of a 5-year-old missing from Southern California for nearly a month is begging for her son's safe return.

    May 17, 2017, at 2:33 p.m.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The mother of a 5-year-old missing from Southern California for nearly a month is begging for her son's safe return.

Ana Estevez joined Los Angeles sheriff's officials Wednesday in making a public plea for Aramazd Andressian Jr. to be reunited with his family.

Authorities say the boy was last seen with his father, Aramazd Andressian Sr., at Disneyland on April 20.

The boy was reported missing after his father was found in a South Pasadena park on April 22.

Sheriff's officials revealed Wednesday the father took prescription pills and was found in a car doused in gasoline.

Oh no, wish this information had been released earlier, hate to type this, but I no longer believe this little boy is with us.

I wonder if LE has checked landfills...

So the father lied and said someone knocked him out. Sounds like a suicide attempt to me after disposing of his son. POS needs to tell LE where Aramazd is.

I agree, the only thing I can think of is LE was hoping he would lead them to the child. We can only hope they have a GPS on his car.

'Credible' Tip Leads To New Search In South Pasadena For Missing Boy

    May 18, 2017 7:49 AM

SOUTH PASADENA (CBSLA.com)— A "credible" tip has prompted authorities to launch another search at Arroyo Park in South Pasadena for evidence in the disappearance of a 5-year-old boy who has been missing since April 22.

With some of the 80 members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and South Pasadena Police Department on horseback, and others accompanied by search dogs, Arroyo Park, 800 Stoney Dr., and the surrounding area will be scoured for any evidence in the disappearance of Aramazd Andressian, Jr.

Thursday’s search will focus on the ravine and brush surrounding the park.

The new search comes the day after Ana Estevez, Aramazd’s mother, made a tearful plea for help finding her son.

Nothing Found in Renewed Search of South Pasadena’s Arroyo Park for Missing 5-Year-Old Boy

    Updated at 12:18PM, May 18, 2017

The ongoing search for 5-year-old Aramazd Andressian Jr., who disappeared in April after a trip to Disneyland with his father, brought investigators a second time to Arroyo Park in South Pasadena on Thursday morning, but nothing was found.

The effort came a day after the boy's mother spoke out for the first time – at a news conference where authorities revealed new details in the investigation. The boy's father, 35-year-old Aramazd Andressian Sr., was found unconscious in Arroyo Park next to his car, which had been doused in gasoline, on the same day the child was reported missing.

There is a landfill just to the west of Arroyo Seco.
I think that off the Angeles Crest Highway would be a other place to look.

Thanks for information MissWasabi, I didn't know about the landfill. Yes, Angeles Crest or Ortega HWY would be another area LE might search.

Oh, yes - I recall they did say he was in OC. Disney?

Another place would be off of Santiago Canyon road. Katella ( the street D-land is on) turns into that road when travelling east.

Relatives Of Missing South Pasadena Boy Believe He’s Alive

    May 19, 2017 11:20 PM - Video included

SOUTH PASADENA (CBSLA.com) —Two relatives of a missing 5-year-old South Pasadena boy said they believed he is alive.

The aunt and uncle of Aramazd Andressian Sr., the boy’s father, said he stayed with them after he was released from jail.

"He was released the first day. He stayed here for about three or four days," the uncle told CBS2’s Tom Wait.

When asked what they thought about what happened to the missing child, Araramazd Andressian Jr., the uncle said: "He [boy’s father] doesn’t remember. He doesn’t know. We don’t know. We are just praying for his safe return. That’s all."

When asked if he believed his nephew, the uncle said: "I have no reason not to believe him."

The aunt said she also believed Andressian Sr. and suspected someone may have kidnapped the boy.

The uncle said Andressian Sr. didn’t want to talk about his son’s disappearance.

When Wait asked the couple if they thought someone had kidnapped junior, the aunt said she thought so; the uncle said: "He just doesn’t talk about it. He gets upset. He’s worried."

Search Warrant Served in Connection With Missing Boy Investigation

    May 25, 2017

A search warrant was served at a Montebello home Thursday in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of a 5-year-old South Pasadena boy, sheriff's officials said.

More than a month after Aramazd Andressian Jr. was reported missing, sheriff's homicide investigators served the warrant at the home of Andressian's paternal grandmother in the 500 block of North Via Val Verde, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Several items were collected as evidence, sheriff's officials said, though they did not specify what those items were.

Aerial images showed two women — the boy's grandmother and aunt — being taken from the home to the East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station in a patrol car.

The grandmother had been with her son, Andressian's father, and her grandson at Disneyland on April 20, the Thursday before the child's disappearance. That was the last confirmed sighting of the boy, authorities have said.

Authorities search grandmother's home in case of missing 5-year-old boy

    May 25, 2017

Investigators looking for 5-year-old Aramazd Andressian Jr., who has been missing for more than a month, searched the Montebello home of his grandmother Thursday.

During the two-hour search of the paternal grandmother’s home, which began about 9 a.m., investigators seized "various items of evidence," according to the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]’s Department.

"We’re just searching for additional evidence to help us locate the child," said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Det. Louie Aguilera. He declined to say what items authorities recovered but said the search was related to "new investigative leads that we have developed."

Detectives also took the grandmother and the boy’s aunt in for further questioning in the child’s disappearance, Aguilera said.

    SNIP

On Thursday, Ulises Llamas, 41, a neighbor of the grandmother, stood outside his home and watched as TV news trucks parked along the curb. He said he has noticed law enforcement parked in his neighborhood on multiple occasions. Llamas, who has lived on the street of one-story homes and trimmed lawns for 10 years, said the child’s mother has been by his home, passing out fliers about the missing boy.

Another neighbor, Frank Lizarraga, 49, said he saw authorities haul a computer tower from the home Thursday morning. Lizarraga said the grandmother looked "frail" as she came out of the home and walked with a cane.

Lizarraga said the people in the home usually keep to themselves but sometimes wave.

"They seem like very good people," he said.

About two weeks ago, Lizarraga said the boy’s mother stopped by his home and asked about a security camera he has positioned on the side of the duplex where he lives.

"That is a mother who is concerned and wanting to look for her child," he said. "I’m just hoping that this kid’s OK."

Hoping this grandmother is not covering for her son. I can't imagine her knowing where her little grandson is at and letting the mother suffer.

SaraSidle, it was the child's mother who asked Mr. Lizarraga about his security camera. What I find odd is, why didn't LE speak to him about the camera, especially since the father had been staying with his mother after he was released.

Maybe they did. LE isn't exactly letting us know anything.
We haven't heard if dad has been under surveillance or is not being tracked. I keep thinking that most of any info we've gotten has been thru media interviewing neighbors and such. Nothing really to chew on.
I can not believe LE isn't digging deep with this case. We're just not hearing about it.

At least the mom is out there doing what she can, making a plea for her son. Unlike dad who's lawyered up and is hiding out from media.
I just wish we knew more than his cockamamie story he told.

Search for missing boy spreads to Ventura County

    Published 1:04 p.m. PT May 26, 2017

The mother of a missing South Pasadena boy announced that volunteers will be passing out fliers in Ojai and Ventura on Saturday as the search for the child continues.

Authorities say the boy was last seen April 20 with his father, Aramazd Andressian Sr., leaving Disneyland in Anaheim.

Aramazd Andressian Jr. was reported missing April 22, authorities said, after his father failed to drop off the boy to his mother at a pre-arranged meeting place. The parents are divorcing and share custody..

The father was found passed out at a South Pasadena park and the boy was missing, authorities said.

Authorities released the father after he spent three days in jail.

The fliers will be handed out starting at 10 a.m. at the Ranch House in Ojai and at Mission Park in Ventura.
