Report: O.J. Agrees to Take Paternity Test for Khloé Kardashian on One Condition

Jun 17, 2016 // 1:25pm - As seen on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

O.J. Simpson has reportedly agreed to take a paternity test to address long-standing rumors that Khloé Kardashian is his daughter.

But there's a catch: She would need to visit him in prison. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] reported that O.J. is consenting to a mouth swab paternity test, but wants Khloé to "show him a little respect" by coming to the correctional center in Nevada.

A prison guard said O.J. "wants to talk to her about some other things too, but more importantly, like her, he wants to know if she is his daughter."

IMO, Khloé and OJ's daughter Sidney favored each other when they children, but not so much now. I suppose it's possible.

O.J. Simpson prosecutor: Witnesses are still coming out of the woodwork

    Aug 22, 2016

LOS ANGELES — Christopher Darden, the criminal lawyer who retreated from public life after O.J. Simpson's acquittal, says people are still coming forward about the 21-year-old case — including a woman who called him just last week to say she saw something that might've tipped the scales toward conviction.

Darden has given precious few interviews in the past 20 years, but appeared Monday on The Adam Carolla Show — in no small part because Carolla's podcast regularly features their mutual friend, prominent Los Angeles defense attorney Mark Geragos, who also joined the podcast.

And whereas Darden is usually very guarded, he opened up for Carolla, telling the comedian that the Simpson case severely dented his rising legal career; that the prosecution suffered mightily from the "speedy trial"; and that they had all kinds of crazy ideas about how to deal with those ill-fitting gloves.

But the most intriguing of Darden's revelations was that potential witnesses have been coming out of the woodwork in the years since.

"After the trial and after he was acquitted, some people developed a conscience," Darden said. "And people began to come forward. I got a phone call not a week ago from a woman who told me that the night of the murders, she saw O.J. Simpson on Bundy [the street where Nicole Brown lived]."

Trial witnesses testified to seeing a white Bronco at the Brown residence that night, and hearing a man's voice, but no eyewitness had emerged to place Simpson — who had said he was on his way to the airport — at the scene of the murders.

Darden said the woman told him she saw the former football superstar walk right in front of her car. "She was near Nicole's place. And she saw him, recognized him as O.J. Simpson, went on about her business, and as the trial went on, she just decided to not get involved."

He said he believed the woman, like many others with potential key evidence or testimony, figured there was plenty enough evidence for a conviction already in hand.

    snipped

At one point, Carolla asked Darden about what must be his least-favorite topic — the gloves, which O.J. theatrically slipped on in court over latex gloves. Carolla asked why they didn't just pick up a brand-new pair of the same gloves to make Simpson try on ... without the latex underneath.

"And that is yet another of the thousands and thousands of glove theories that I've heard," Darden said. "We did all kinds of things, you know. We measured O.J.'s hands, we measured photographs of his hands and compared it to the gloves, 'Would it fit?,' you know ... we all thought it would. We thought about having D.A. investigators with hands that were even larger than O.J.'s try on the glove ... the bottom line is, we had pictures of O.J. standing on the sidelines at NFL games wearing the gloves."

If only people would step up when they see a crime being commited or when LE asks for tips. You can't think oh they have enough evidence, you could be the one who helps put this person away. As they say "if you see something, say something."

OJ Simpson could be released on parole as early as OCTOBER and looks set to cash in on multi-million NFL pension

    Feb 25, 2017

OJ Simpson may be released from prison as early as this October, after serving nine years of his 33-year sentence.

October 1 is the earliest possible parole date the 69-year-old former NFL star.

It is expected that a parole board will recommend his release due to good behavior, the Sunday Express reported.

Simpson has been serving a nine-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in rural Nevada.

He was found guilty in 2008 of 12 counts including kidnapping, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Simpson and accomplices robbed memorabilia collectors Alfred Beardsley and Bruce Fromong of nearly 800 items in a Las Vegas hotel room in November 2007, Sports Illustrated reported.

He alleged the pair had stolen items from him.

Simpson receives as much as $25,000 monthly, $300,000 yearly, or $2.7m throughout his prison stay, from his NFL pension.

He is prisoner 1027820 at the 'medium-custody' facility, where he will need to win over four of seven commissioners at his parole hearing, which could occur this summer, and receive a certain number of 'points.'

The 11-point based system in Nevada reflects issues such as gang membership, drug and alcohol abuse and age in assessing parole eligibility and each issue reflects values from -1 to +2.

He would need less than five points to be considered 'low risk.'

Simpson was paroled on five charges in 2013, when he argued he displayed good behavior in the prison.

A criminal defense attorney told the Express: 'He's the kind of person who gets paroled.'

The attorney added: 'He has done a significant amount of time and, by all accounts, hasn't caused any problems.'

I don't believe so. OJ wanted Khole to show him some respect and go see him in jail first. IMO, that didn't happen...

I was just wondering that to.

My first thoughts are Khloe will never go for that and will never visit OJ in Prison. No way.

Second I'm sure if he gets her there he will fill her ear about IF anything happened between he and Kris.

Third he'll make her sign something that she never touches a penny of his money.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that little 'sit down'.

Will the Juice Get Loose in 2017? O.J. Simpson Could Make Parole This Year
    18 mins ago

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

After serving nine years of his 33-year sentence in a Nevada correctional facility,*O.J. Simpson is eligible for parole this summer following his 2008 conviction for armed robbery.
The former Buffalo Bills great will turn 70 in July and has been known as inmate No. 1027820 inside Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center, which is located an hour-and-a-half northeast of Reno.
In 2008, Simpson was found guilty in a Nevada court on all 12 counts against him, which included charges of kidnapping, assault, robbery, burglary, and conspiracy.
The charges stemmed from a 2007 incident where he was arrested for leading a group of men into a Las Vegas hotel and casino to steal his own sports memorabilia at gunpoint.

The sentence was given to him exactly 13 years after he was found not guilty in the double murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman in 1995, in what was dubbed "The Trial of the Century."
Simpson has been a model inmate at Lovelock and due to a prison point system issued by the parole board, he is in good standing and could walk out of*the correction center later this year, according to Sports Illustrated.
In 2013, he was granted parole by the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners, but was not free to leave as his sentences run consecutively; therefore he had to wait four more years to go in front of the board again to be liberated. The board granted him parole for two counts of kidnapping, two counts of robbery and one count of burglary with a firearm.
They cited the former Heisman Trophy winner’s good behavior as the reason he was granted parole.
"The inmate has participated in programs specific to addressing behavior that led to incarceration," Connie Bisbee, parole chairwoman told the*New York Post in 2013. "The inmate has a positive institutional record."
In 2015, Inside Edition spoke with a former prison guard at Lovelock who said the ex-NFL star keeps a picture of his slain wife next to his bed and gets upset on their anniversary.

"He's a model inmate,” Jeffrey Felix said. “Most respect him. He treats everybody politely. He's well mannered."
Felix added that when Simpson first went to prison in 2008, he piled on the pounds.
“He would eat lots of cookies," he said. "That why he put on the weight."
Just before his parole hearing in 2013, he went on a diet and dropped 40 pounds by eating just salmon and rice, he said.
Felix told Inside Edition in 2016 that Simpson enjoys watching his former attorney and late best friend Robert Kardashian’s family on TV on Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E!.

“He likes to keep up with the Kardashians. He likes to keep up with all the gossip with them,” Felix said.
In prison, Felix says the The Naked Gun star is treated like a celebrity.

He's allowed to cut in front of lines. The other inmates don't care. He can go to the front of the line for chow. He can go in front of the line for canteen. He goes to the front of the line for clinic for his pill call," he said.

OJ Simpson gets July 20 parole hearing date in Nevada

    June 20, 2017

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Imprisoned former football star O.J. Simpson has a July 20 parole hearing that could have him released from a Nevada prison on Oct. 1, a state parole official said Tuesday.

Simpson, now 70, has served more than eight years of a nine-to-33 year sentence imposed after he was found guilty in 2008 of armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges stemming from a confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers at in a Las Vegas casino hotel room in September 2007.

Simpson is due to appear by videoconference from Lovelock Correctional Center, where he is being held, before a panel of four parole commissioners sitting in Carson City, parole official David Smith said.

Simpson's attorney in Las Vegas, Malcolm LaVergne, said he will be with his client at the medium-security prison in a small town 90 miles northeast of Reno.

"If he's able to get parole, my prediction is he's going to want to live a quiet life," LaVergne said in a recent interview. LaVergne declined additional comment until after the proceeding.

O.J. Simpson’s bid for prison release drawing national obsession; ‘This is the parole hearing of the century’

O.J. Simpson’s date with a Nevada parole board Thursday is quickly approaching national obsession status, reminiscent of his double murder trial, dubbed the Trial of the Century.
Just ask Christopher Darden, one of the prosecutors in the 1995 trial that ended with Simpson’s acquittal.
“In a way, I’m being forced to follow it. Is this the parole hearing of the century? I guess it is. People want his release. It’s hard to understand,” Darden told the Daily News on Tuesday

Simpson, 70, is incarcerated at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Facility for robbing two memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas casino hotel back in 2007.
Prosecutors said he led a ragtag group of armed friends into the ill-fated heist. Simpson claimed he never saw a gun and only wanted to retrieve family heirlooms stolen by a former manager.

The former football star was sentenced to nine to 33 years in 2008. He has already served more than eight years and hopes the parole board will let him walk free in October.

Simpson’s best friend Tom Scotto told The News he planned to be in a conference room at the prison with Simpson on Thursday. Simpson will appear at the hearing via video conference.
He said the Heisman Trophy winner has been a “positive” force at Lovelock and deserves his freedom.
“There’s no reason he shouldn’t get (parole). He’s done everything right. He’s pretty much been a model prisoner,” Scotto said.

OJ Simpson's parole hearing is at 1 pm EST tomorrow, July 20. I'll be on MSNBC during the 9:00 a.m. EST hour to discuss it, then on LawNewz Network with Dan Abrams during the hearing. For more, tune in to an OJ special on MSNBC that will air at 10 pm EST on Saturday. I also contributed to the special. I expect the board of commissioners will grant parole on the remaining two assault charges and the gun enhancement. Simpson has either maxed out or been paroled on all the other counts. If granted parole, he'll be freed on or about Oct. 1, 2017. I covered Simpson's Las Vegas case and spent a lot of time with Dominick Dunne who was also there. It would be the last trial Dominick covered for Vanity Fair.

"OJ Simpson could be denied parole after he was caught pleasuring himself in his cell - strictly verboten in federal prisons in the U.S. - a prison source has told Dailymail.com.

'OJ is facing a disciplinary hearing after being written up for masturbating in his prison cell,' said the source. 'He was caught by a female corrections officer making her normal rounds in late June.' ..."

WATCH LIVE: OJ Simpson Parole Hearing Coverage on LawNewz Network
    7:52 am, July 20th, 2017
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

O.J. Simpson‘s hearing with the Nevada Parole Board*is taking place on Thursday at 1:00 pm ET/ 10:00 am PT. Simpson himself will be participating via video conference from the Lovelock Correctional Facility. The Board is expected to make their decision the same day. Watch the LawNewz Network’s live coverage of the hearing in the player above.
In addition to live streaming coverage of the hearing itself, LawNewz Network will be providing coverage beginning at 9:00 am ET, hosted by founder*Dan Abrams,*Amy Dash,*Rachel Stockman, and*Aaron Keller. Coverage will feature interviews with several players involved in the case, including Simpson’s attorneys*Yale Galanter and Gabriel Grasso. Also joining us today will be*David Cook, collection attorney for the family of*Ronald Goldman, who was awarded at $33.5 million judgment against Simpson in a 1997 wrongful death lawsuit, after Simpson had been acquitted of murdering him at a criminal trial.

Simpson has been incarcerated for the past nine years after an armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel, where he and others held two men at gunpoint while taking sports memorabilia that Simpson says belonged to him. The former football star faces a maximum of 33 years, but will go free if the Board grants him parole.
Just a few years ago, they granted Simpson parole on some of his charges, so it appears likely that he will be freed. If that happens, he wouldn’t be released until at least October 1. If there’s a tie vote by the Board, Simpson would not be let out, and another hearing would take place in January.

O.J. is expected to speak at the hearing, and additional testimony could come from one of his representatives, and possibly a victim in the case.

It will be interesting to see it it's a quick hearing or drags on and on.

Personally I would like to see parole denied because of Nicole and Ron. With that said he is NOT in prison for those murders and he will probably be released for his good conduct.

Hopefully when released he will become a model citizen...

BTW did the Goldman family ever receive any of the millions they were awarded in their civil case?

I hate to say it, but I think he should get parole. This incarceration has nothing to do with Nicole and Ron.

I also wish this wasn't being televised.

O.J. Simpson Set to Be Freed, Parole Board Rules
    UPDATED 2:01 PM
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    O. J. Simpson, the former football hero and actor whose good-guy image vanished when he was accused of murdering his ex-wife and her friend, will go free after serving nine years in a Nevada prison on charges stemming from an armed robbery, a state parole board ruled on Thursday.
Mr. Simpson, who turned 70 this month, went before the board as a man convicted of taking a group of accomplices, two of them armed with guns, to a cheap Las Vegas hotel room in 2007 to take hundreds of items from a sports memorabilia dealer. But it is the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, for which he was acquitted after the most-watched trial in history, that have cast the longer, darker shadow over his life and reputation.
After his conviction in 2008, a judge sentenced Mr. Simpson nine to 33 years in state prison, meaning that he becomes eligible for parole for the first time on Oct. 1. Based on his age and the fact that he has been a model prisoner, the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners granted his release the first time it was considered, rather than denying parole and making him wait years for another chance.

    • Under questioning by parole commissioners, Mr. Simpson stuck to a version of the robbery that, as the board member Tony Corda said, “differs a little from the official record.”
He insisted that the items he took from the memorabilia dealer, Bruce Fromong, whom he knew well, were his property. And he said he was not aware at the time that two of the men he took to the hotel room, whom he referred to as “security guys,” brandished guns.
He said he had never brandished a weapon at anyone, and never would, adding, “I basically have spent a conflict-free life.”
    • Mr. Simpson’s daughter Arnelle Simpson testified to the board on behalf of his family. “We just want him to come home,” she said.
“My experience with him is that he’s like my best friend and my rock,” said Ms. Simpson, 48, who is the oldest of Mr. Simpson’s four children. “I know that he is remorseful, he is truly remorseful.”
Ms. Simpson and other members of his family live in California. Mr. Simpson lived most of his life in California, but in the years leading up to his conviction, he lived in Florida. He could gain approval to serve his parole in either state.

    The shadow of the murders
What makes Mr. Simpson’s case unique, of course, is that people watching it have a different case in mind, the 1994 double murder.
It did not help matters that the 2007 robbery occurred on the same day as the release of “If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer,” a book based on interviews Mr. Simpson gave, describing — in theory, hypothetically — how he could have carried out the murders.
One of his lawyers, Yale Galanter, has said that the charges filed against Mr. Simpson were excessive, and has suggested that the prosecutors and jurors were influenced by the earlier case. Though jurors were prohibited from considering any outside factors, “my biggest concern was whether or not the jury would be able to separate their very strong feelings about Mr. Simpson and judge him fairly and honestly,” Mr. Galanter said after the 2008 conviction.
The Clark County district attorney at the time, David J. Roger, and members of the jury have insisted that their actions were no more than a reflection of the crimes Mr. Simpson committed in that Las Vegas hotel.

OJ is a charismatic man, no doubt about that. He was telling stories at breaks, everyone was captivated. But ya, he didn't sound remorseful.

Oh Yes he was at his best today but he can snap he started to today but caught himself I would like to here from Goldmans and Browns today I noticed his son didn't testify like his daughter did. If it was me I wouldn't lift a finger to get him out of prison but Oj will show himself sooner or later. Note:: I lived in Upstate NY for 4 years not knowing that OJ lived only blocks away from where we lived he played for Buffalo Bills he was still popular there my son loved football and wanted to meet him but we found out he moved glad(he got traded) we never met him

Did the Goldman ever get anything from their civil suit? I wonder if they can claim part of his retirement money or is that exempt?
