The father of a Sydney girl who died from a gunshot wound to the neck will remain behind bars on firearms charges related to an unlicensed sawn-off shotgun.
The 43-year-old Arncliffe man faced Blacktown Local Court today charged with a number of firearm offences and contravening an apprehended violence order.
He did not apply for bail, with corrective services reportedly keeping a close eye on him over concerns for his mental health. He was seen visibly distraught in the back of a police van as officers escorted him from the scene.
The case has been adjourned to Friday.
